IN A NUT SHELL
We’re a boutique branding agency based in Colorado with Madison Avenue sized ideas. Why Colorado? Because we think it happens to be the greatest place on earth. No seriously, it is. Our sole purpose (when we’re not skiing, camping or doing something else outdoors) is to use creativity in unexpected ways to help brands show the world how awesome they are, and we do this on a project-by-project basis. It’s sort of like having your very own in-house creative department only without the permanent addition to your bottom line. What could be more freeing than that?

OUR FOUNDERS
Heather and Jeff are an award winning Executive Creative Director team who have worked together for the last 18+ years. Before opening Gorman Spillane & Friends, Jeff and Heather worked at some of the best advertising agencies in the business, including Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Cliff Freeman and Partners, GSD&M, BBDO, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and most recently they returned to BBDO where they were SVP Executive Creative Directors. There they oversaw a group of 30 creatives and accounts such as AT&T, Florida Dept. of Citrus, Carter’s Kids Apparel, and ING Financial. During their 4 years at BBDO they created several effective and award-winning campaigns for their clients, including the “It’s Not Complicated” kids campaign for AT&T which won a Gold Effie in it’s category. Their work has been recognized by: Communication Arts, The One Show, Cannes, D&AD, The International Andy Awards, The Effies, Adweek’s Top 50 Spots, The National Addy’s and Graphis. And at two different times in their careers they’ve been a part of winning “Agency of the Year” by Creativity. First at Cliff Freeman and second at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Their work has been the topic of conversation on Good Morning America as well as written up in multiple publications, from the Harvard Business Review to Fast Company to People Magazine.
But wait, there’s more. Jeff and Heather are not only work partners. They’re also partners in life. We know. It’s weird, right? They’ve been married for over 15 years and while still loving advertising and creating smart work for their clients they believe the best thing they’ve created to date are their two young children, Tessa and Jonah. Who were, in fact, the inspiration for the AT&T “Kids” campaign.
